Description

The Kodiak® Deny The Dark® Krux Rechargeable Flashlight is a low-profile, multi-function light designed for work, inspection, and everyday carry. Its slim design combines powerful white light with specialty features in a compact, durable form.

This flashlight delivers up to 1,200 lumens in Turbo mode, along with 500 and 150 lumen brightness levels for everyday tasks. An Eco mode provides 5 lumens for extended use, offering up to 80 hours of runtime. In addition to white light, the Krux includes a built-in UV light and a red laser pointer for added versatility.

A unique rotary dial paired with a center button allows quick and intuitive mode selection. This design makes it easy to switch between lighting options while maintaining control during use.

Constructed from aerospace-grade aluminum, the Krux is built for durability in demanding environments. A sturdy metal clip supports secure carry, and a strong base-mounted magnet enables hands-free use on most smooth, rust-free metal surfaces.

Includes a USB-C charging cable for quick, convenient recharging so you’re always ready to work.

Magnetic Control Switch: This product uses a magnetic switch. Strong external magnets in close proximity may activate the light. Avoid storing it near other magnets.

Small, bright, packed with features.

"It's small, light weight, built with premium materials. In high, it's brighter than I normally need. I find low to be plenty bright for what I use it for most of the time. Which is great and gives me 8 hrs in such a small light. The UV works amazing, and the Lazer is nice and bright also. It's very lightweight to have all the features it has. The perfect edc light for most people."

Has potential to be a 5 star light but…. .

"Decent light. Don’t like that the center button is turbo. Keeps turning on in my pocket. You’d think with the dial on lock that it would be locked and stay off but that’s not the case. Plus the UV could be brighter if it wasn’t for those two things it would’ve been a 5 star flash light. Maybe they’ll come out with an updated version with turbo on the dial and the lock will actually be locked and not come on running the battery dead and burning your leg. Really that alone could make it a 5 star flash light."

Works well but limited clunky controls

"It’s a decent pocket light I guess but there is no way to turn the dial to low or any other setting and turn the light on and off at that setting. I keep finding myself wanting to push the center button to turn the light off and on intuitively but it relies on the wheel to cycle through all the options and back to off. All the center button does is double click for the laser and push and hold for the 30 second turbo. Seems like it’s missing any single click function. The lock function on the wheel does not work at all, it really should just be a white light off icon as you can still turn the turbo and the laser on even when the wheel is in the lock setting. It can be quite frustrating blinding myself and others cycling through the wheel to get to low/eco in lowlight conditions. Poor chaps trying to cycle all the way to the UV light and back running the gamut of brightness. Don’t touch the glass, it gets hot. Thanks for using 2 warning symbols."

Almost the perfect EDC light

"The Krux UV is basically everything i was looking for in a compact EDC light. Dealing with money or shady marketplace deals? UV light. Got cats and dogs in your life? Laser pointer to drive them insane and make them exercise. Decent light? It has plenty of that. Its a little green on eco mode but its fine and expected And small and pocketable? Absolutely with a good clip too! But it has just a few areas it falls short in. Fit and finish is nice and well put together but users with larger hands like myself will find the bottom edges near the magnet to be sharp in the hand. I personally used 800 grit paper to round over the edges as i found them to be a particular pain in my palm. The biggest flaw in my mind at least is the UI. the dial is the on and off switch, The button only operates the laser and a turbo mode. If the selector dial could be set to eco and the button could be used to turn the light on and off while keeping it in eco mode it would be perfect and this light would be my go to recommendation for people looking for a light to carry every day. But as is having the light turn onto high mode first every time is a bummer, Now i will say there is a about 1 second delay from when the dial is rotated that the light doesnt turn on, Presumeably so you can get to eco before you blind yourself in the dark, But i would love the ability to set the light to eco and toggle the on off with the button instead leaving the dial for lock out. In conclusion or TL/DR The light is bright enough for most tasks you dont need a thrower, Mode rich and well made. But a little painfully sharp on your palm and the UI is a near miss"
