Description

The Kodiak® Deny The Dark® Krux 6.0 6000 Lumen Rechargeable Dial Tactical EDC Light with OLED Screen is a compact, high-output work light built for demanding jobs, shop use, and everyday carry lighting. It combines powerful brightness with simple controls in a durable design that’s easy to keep close at hand.

This work light uses a rotary dial to move smoothly through its main lighting levels, including high, medium, low, and an extended-run eco mode. A secondary button adds instant access to turbo output and momentary strobe for quick bursts of light when needed, without disrupting the selected dial mode. The OLED screen quickly shows you at a glance the mode you're using and the remaining run time.

Turbo mode delivers up to 6000 lumens for short, high-intensity output, while high, medium, and low modes provide balanced brightness for longer tasks. Eco mode produces 5 lumens with an extended runtime of up to 140 hours. Light output and runtime scale efficiently across modes, with beam distances reaching up to 180 meters in turbo.

Built-in thermal protection automatically manages heat by entering a cooldown state if the light gets too warm, helping protect performance and internal components. A strong metal pocket clip on the base allows for secure carry or hands-free positioning when clipped to gear or clothing.

The Krux 6.0 is 1 meter drop tested and IPX4 rated for water resistance, making it well suited for tough work environments and changing conditions.

Includes a USB-C charging cable for quick, convenient recharging so you’re always ready to work.

Magnetic Control Switch: This product uses a magnetic switch. Strong external magnets in close proximity may activate the light. Avoid storing it near other magnets.

Amazingly bright—when it was working not flashing

"I wasn’t too sure bout buying this cuz the price tag was high. Plugged it in charged it and worked so well for a few wks. Now it’s flashing in every mode & the display isn’t cycling on during that time either. I’ve tried to charge it over night thinking that would fix it. I’ve noticed the first couple times I charged it the display would show the “battery” and how dead/full it was. Now I haven’t noticed it unless I cycle into a mode then back off quickly. It appears then & shows the battery is fully charged but it still flashing in every mode but turbo. I turn it on High or medium no display at all and the light flashes after a second. If it does trick me & start working it’s only briefly (note—the display is working showing the amount of time in that mode) but don’t be fooled especially if ur like me using it as a backup light for my e-bike at night. That was dangerous which is an understatement but it could’ve gone a lot worse but my focus was on the light to get it working along a pitch black hwy @1am trucks going 60+ and one didn’t see me until I strobed it & they quickly swerved out of the shoulder & back onto the road. I spent $70+ almost 7wks ago knowing I could've bought a several of the same light and had back ups for what I paid for this. I don’t understand what’s wrong with it seeing that I’ve only have used it inside my home & carried it in my bag when I’m riding at night as a back up (which it worked so well for maybe 2ish wks until this flashing started) so I could really use some help with this matter please. I have over 2 dozen Kodiak lights like Kolossus, 5K, Kong, 11-Kubs, 6-Kips and the recent Krus 6. 0."

Bright, feels poor quality

"Feels like the aluminum is thinner than the other Kodiak flashlights. Too easy to turn dial, had it in my pocket and I did not realize it was on and burned a hole in my pocket. It is bright and it lights up anywhere you point it."

Good Light. . . but

"It's a nice edc light. It does throw light pretty far, but is more of a flood then a spotlight which is nice for filling a whole room with light. Feels like it's built really solid too. One thing that really annoys me, keeps me from fully enjoying, and actually using this as a daily carry for my overnight security job is the fact there is no way to simply turn the light on and off with a button, you have to turn the dial. They could have easily made the turbo button single press to turn on/off and it's really dumb they didn't do that, there's a hold and double press I'm really disappointed there's not single press for on/off. For example to get to eco mode you have to go through med and low. Also considering high is one click clockwise they should have made counterclockwise eco, low, med instead of med, low, eco. If you want eco you are forced to shine a super bright light to get to it which is 3 clicks counterclockwise. You should be able to turn the dial to whatever setting and then turn on/off with a single press of the button imo and it's really dumb you can't do that. They could have even added a separate button for on/off instead either would have worked. The wheel takes a more fine motor skill when a single button press would be much easier especially when I'm turning the light on and off constantly. The wheel is also not very smooth it's a bit Grundy feeling and sometimes when I try to turn it on my thumb slips another reason no on/off button is very dumb. I love most things about this light, but the no on/off button really kills it for me sadly and don't think I'll be using it as much because of that."
