Small and powerful and inexpensive

"It's great for night walks with the dog. The low setting is perfect to light up our path without lighting up yards, but it's capable of lighting up the whole road on high or turbo. It does get warm on those higher settings, but low and medium are usually all I need for long periods of time. The tail magnet can easily hold the Kub's weight and it's great for working in cramped spaces. It's metal and seems sturdy. My only complaint is the magnetic charging cable. It's difficult and slow to align it for a good connection and that type cable is harder to replace when broken. But there is another positive in that the battery is accessible and easily removed so it can be charged in another device."

Very unexpected and totally surprised.

"This was was my first Kodiak product purchase as I was on the hunt for a small but powerful flashlight that I could carry every day. After purchasing this light I put it through its paces and used it a lot. Easy to charge, small and compact, magnetic base and clip all worked very well. Much like others that have reviewed this light, I too noticed that (on high) it does seems to get rather hot when holding it. I hardly ever us the turbo mode unless I'm just in need of major lighting. I've now owned this light for over a year and right up to this very day it still holds it own. I recently purchased the clip light released by Kodiak and look forward to testing it as well. Maybe a replacement for this light but only because it's more compact but rest a sure this little light will still be clipped onto my edc bag as a backup because plain and simple it just works"

Junk but at least it was expensive

"Battery life is short, gets fairly hot when in use, the lock is ridiculous, the charging technology is junk and I can not find a replacement battery to replace the battery that lasted about 10 cycles before it started to top out at about 25% of full. Avoid unless you like to pay a lot for disappointment"

"It’s just like Marry Poppins practically perfect! My only complaint isn’t exactly the flashlights fault. I’m a walking disaster so with the flashlight heating up so hot & rather fast, you can imagine the outcome! As long as I stick it to something while I use it there’s no better flashlight!"

Dangerously Hot

"When I first bought this flashlight, I loved it. But I clipped it onto my hat bill, and after 10 minutes of use, turned it off. Attached the charger, walked away. Walked in to unplug it 30 minutes later (was the average charge time) it almost burned my hand and quickly ran it outside and left it to cool. Guessing the charge port messed up or the battery. I don't know. Maybe even the light malfunctioned. None the less, the temperature was dangerously hot. Bad experience. I'll buy a name brand charger and better batteries and rotate them and not use this battery or charger anymore. Unless the flashlight itself has gotten bad."

Constant red light and VERY HOT flashlight!

"I plugged my flashlight in to charge, but when i went to take it off the charger and use it i noticed the light was very very hot also the red light stayed on even when i turned the light off and unplugged it. So since it was extremely hot to the touch i took it apart, took the battery out and laid all of the pieces aside so it could cool off, hoping once it was no longer hot that it would go back to normal but, that was absolutely not the case. Once the flashlight was put back together, even before i turned it on,. . . the red light was on again and it immediately started heating up again. . . . what happened to my flashlight? And is it fixable or does it belong in the trash now?"

Almost great

"Light was great while it lasted now it always shows dead battery and it won't charge properly and the light flickers so I'm assuming it must be a faulty light as I have tried other batteries"

Second lemon

"Second one iv had , first one worked fine for about a day then would not charge, I liked the size and brightness other then that . Second one - the red battery indicator stays red even when not on charger , I have not seen a green light ever even after charging it over an hr . Also have not gotten to use the 1000 L setup, I’m thinking because it won’t fully charge. Dies very quickly maybe a bad battery or the red light staying on also gets very hot during charging"
