Batteries are included and installed in the headlamp but are not included in the lantern.

My owl flashlight is so dim it could not be used as a flashlight.

Why does your video mention only 40 and 30 lumens, and the description says it has 400 and 250 lumens for the lantern? That is a big difference in brightness from awesome to almost useless.
The video is correct. Neither the headlampo or the lantern are extremely bright making it safer for kids. I pasted the online description below. It doesn't mention 400 and 250 lumens. Sorry for any confusion.
